How is the fuel cost calculated?+−

For each fuel it is running cost per km × your distance. Cost per km = price ÷ efficiency - so ₹/litre ÷ km/litre for petrol, ₹/kg ÷ km/kg for CNG, and ₹/kWh ÷ km/kWh for an EV. Daily is your distance × cost/km; monthly is × 30 and yearly is × 360.

Does this depend on which car I pick?+−

Where do the default prices come from?+−

The defaults are indicative retail rates for New Delhi and are fully editable - enter your city’s petrol/CNG rate and electricity tariff for an accurate result. The 30-day trend shows how those rates have moved recently.

Why does the price trend look flat?+−

Indian retail fuel and electricity rates are State-administered and revised infrequently - petrol and diesel can stay unchanged for weeks or months - so the 30-day line is often flat. That stability is itself useful information when budgeting.
